An Autistic Child is getting improved

It’s been a year and a half, she’s coming to the center since she was four years old, and till now she coming the center continuously.

Mariam Masoud Musa, lives in Domiz1 camp of Syrian refugees in Dohuk governorate- Kurdistan region of Iraq, the cute child was born on 8th March 2017 in Farashin sector/Domiz1 camp street 81

According to the Indian scale for autism assessment, she has autism disorder with a severe autism rate of 153 degrees or above.

“At home she has hyperactivity and distraction ADHD and she is aggressive with others”. Her Mather said

“We do individual and group training sessions twice a week, and the duration of the session is 50 minutes. I use the global training program such as the LOVAS program and the TEACCH program to modify behavior TPMB, in developing her visual skills and developing her sensory and cognitive skills “. He specialized autism trainer said

Although the case’s response is very weak because the degree of her autistic disorder is very severe, she has developed some areas of herself like focus, attention, and visual communication.

Unfortunately, the support to Gashbon center is very limited to expand the services and give more time to Mariam due to the big number of autism cases found in the area and all of them depend on this center to receive the services the center also needs more  tools, mechanisms and staff, the lack of transportation for cases and parental awareness of autism are other challenges that Mariam face.
