Gashbun’s (GBV and PSEA ) awareness campaigns either in public areas or group sessions play a crucial role in educating communities about the various forms of gender-based violence and promoting prevention, and the prevention from sexual exploitation and abuse. These sessions typically cover topics such as recognizing signs of sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse and GBV, understanding its impact, and fostering a supportive environment for survivors. They aim to raise awareness about the importance of gender equality and respect, encouraging participants to actively contribute to creating a violence-free society. The sessions often include interactive discussions, case studies, and practical information on available support services, empowering individuals to take a stand against PSEA and GBV and contribute to building a more informed and compassionate community.
Since the beginning of August 2017, the Gashbun organization’s team with the support of volunteers has been developing plans to target the community with awareness sessions about prevention from sexual exploitation and abuse PSEA and gender-based violence (GBV). The goal is to raise awareness to educate people and and empower women in society. The plans include educating on various topics such as general principles of protection, GBV, types of violence (sexual, economic, exploitation, physical, verbal), and executing awareness sessions for men, women, youth, and girls.
